Welcome to Sharks-FAN.com!
It might be best to describe our vision for this site by first describing what we are not. So let’s have at it.
We are not a duplicate of any NHL site. In fact, if all we do is duplicate what is already available, we aren’t doing our job. Our purpose is to bring you stuff that is not readily available on the web already and at the same time provide you with unique opportunities to comment and of course download free stuff.
We are not a “venting” site. If you want to vent about games or referees etc. then this is not the place for you to do that. We certainly hope that you all will become involved in our discussions related to Sharks hockey, but we want to keep it all G rated.
Ok, cool, you say. So what exactly are you here for?
For you! To start off with we have several very cool San Jose Sharks FREE Wallpapers for you to download … again, absolutely FREE.
Launching in the Fall of 2012, we will have Open discussion and polls. We hope to generate a lively community of participants in both the subject of hockey in general, and the Sharks in particular. If you have something to say, say it here.
If you have a lot of things to say on a regular basis, fill out our form and become one of our guest bloggers. We’re looking for a few good blog-o-philes!
We are also here to support youth hockey in Northern California. Exactly what form that will take and how it will be done remains to be seen as we are still formulating those ideas. However, to begin with, Launching in Sept/October 2012, we hope to encourage parents to upload cool pics of their kids playing youth hockey. Adult league participants are also encouraged to upload pics.
Lastly, we need your suggestions. If you have an idea for something digital (hockey related) we can create for you, let us know.
So that is our vision. Ever changing and fluid, we really have no idea where this will all lead, but one thing is certain, Hockey in Northern California will be better off because of us! The greatest sport on the planet has a new voice and you can be proud it started here under the sunny skies of the Bay Area!
Home,
